We are often asked if we are retired. Our answer is, “not retired, but retreaded.”
We are living in Ocala, FL and are able to continue our ministry providing Bible courses for more than 3,000 people in Guatemala, 1,380 of whom are living in crowded detention centers, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, or are cadets in the police academy. We are greatly blessed by our students' testimonies; frequently the students’ friends and family are so impressed with their changed lives that they also enroll in the Bible school.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
- 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)
We are so grateful for the dedication of our workers who have graded thousands of lessons this year and pick up and deliver courses from students. Although they feel great pressure to finish courses in time for volunteer teams, our workers are praising God that His Word is reaching so many more students. Every Sunday, our workers are part of a service at the police academy attended by about 800 police cadets.
Though we do not currently live on the mission field, we deeply appreciate your prayer and support as we shift to our role rejoicing in God's work through our Bible courses from the US.
