The Three and The Thirty are missionaries that pray for and support emerging, developing and established Bible study groups. Your donations and support allowed us to lead two missions - Florida Christian Mission Works and Cuba Christian Mission Works.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
- Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
Because of your prayer and generosity, Cuba Christian Mission Works was able to support house churches, Bible study groups, orphanages, homes for children with special needs, and disaster relief organizations.
Unfortunately, due to government policies, our ministry in Cuba in restricted. Thank you for your prayers and support for the ministry we are able to carry out while we wait for the political situation to change.
Church Planting Partnerships
70 percent of Cubans are not actively involved in a church. However, they crave the Word of God. Bibles and curricula are very controlled, and therefore limited. Without the church planters' faithful commitment, the Gospel would not reach these communities. This growth is not easy and comes with a cost. House churches are not legally recognized but are tolerated so long as they meet in small groups. Therefore, our partnership with church planters in Cuba is crucial. No matter the obstacles, movements of people worshipping God are spreading.
Orphans and Vulnerable Children
We also work with local organizations to foster the positive development of children at social risk. Our partner organizations include orphanages, children’s shelters, community centers, and schools in the most vulnerable neighborhoods.
Cuba is estimated to have around 366,864 people with disabilities. Though people with disabilities are given free medical care, difficulties with transportation and the lack of modern and/or specialized equipment limit their access to this care. We are deeply engaged with homes for children with special needs to assist these children in receiving the care they need.
Because of its location in the Caribbean, Cuba is particularly prone to hurricanes that cause regular and serious destruction to the country. Hurricanes damage economic and living conditions for Cubans, especially for those with disabilities who generally have fewer resources than people without disabilities. Hurricane Matthew, which hit the east of Cuba in October 2016, affected more than 300,000 people.
This is why we need you to remain a partner because you, "the people", make all the difference.
Christian Light Ministries, the Cuban people, and I thank you for your faithful support.
"The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—from violent people you save me. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and have been saved from my enemies."
- 2 Samuel 22:2-4 (NIV)
My Missional Commitment
As a Christian missionary, I will proclaim Jesus as Savior and Lord to serve Him anywhere, any time. To be an ambassador of Christ, in obedience to God’s call.
As an obedient follower of Jesus Christ, I, with other Christians, will serve Him in a biblically-based, culturally relevant manner and with evangelistic passion. I will foster an environment of love, acceptance, and forgiveness in which we will give our time and share our spiritual gifts, abilities, and finances to extend Christ’s kingdom.
